Calculate & Order Your NextGen Living Wall

How to use this calculator
  1. Measure your wall. Choose your units (inches, feet, centimeters, meters or millimeters), then enter the width and height of the area you want planted.
  2. Set the options for that wall.
    • Side panels: adds finished side panels to both ends of the wall.
    • All trays drained: every tray gets a drain.
    • No drains: no tray gets a drain.
    • If you leave both drain boxes unchecked, one tray in each column has no drain and the rest are drained.
    • Use 8" wide trays: check this when the standard trays leave a gap at the side. The calculator adds 8" wide trays as fillers to bring the wall as close as possible to your full width.
  3. More than one wall? Click "+ Add wall section" and repeat steps 1 and 2 for each wall.
  4. Choose your project options. These apply to every wall section.
    • Wall type: pick drywall, wood or aluminum studs, or masonry, and the calculator adds the right fasteners. Pick "None" if you're supplying your own.
    • Side panel color: choose the finish for your side panels.
    • Lights: lights are not added automatically. Check "Lights" to include them, then choose your LED light option. The calculator adds one light for every 25 sq ft of wall.
    • Wicks and spacers: included by default. Uncheck them if you don't need them.
    • What spacers are for: spacers are used with short 6" nursery pots, so the plant material gives the trays maximum coverage.
    • Corner trays: enter how many you need, if any.
  5. Review your parts list. You'll see every item with its part number and quantity, plus total trays, plants, square footage, weight and water capacity per square foot, and estimated install time.
  6. Add everything to your cart. Click "Add all to cart" and every part goes into your cart in the right quantity. Review your cart, then check out.

Good to know: Trays come in fixed sizes, so the finished wall may be slightly smaller than the size you entered. The actual grid size is shown under each wall section. To get as close as possible to your height, the top row of grids may need to be cut down to hold 1, 2 or 3 trays, or have the top spacer removed. The calculator tells you when, and the grids to cut are already included in your order. Trays hang 3.15" below the bottom grid, and you need at least 3" of clear space above the wall to slide the trays in. Please check the quantities in your cart before you check out. Questions?
