Limited Warranty

ASI provides two limited warranties. Choose the one that applies to your product.

Fiberglass Planters

Effective Date: 2026-10-01 | Last Updated: 2026-10-01

Architectural Supplements® LLC’s (“ASI”) fiberglass planters are designed with care and built to meet the highest quality standards. ASI warrants that your new fiberglass planter is free from defects in material and workmanship, subject to the following conditions.

Covered Products. This Limited Warranty applies only to ASI fiberglass planters, including Eco-Fiberglass planters. It does not apply to plastic or recycled-material planters, including all Phoenix and Rise Collection products regardless of manufacturing process, or to fiber clay planters. Refer to ASI’s Limited Warranty on non-Fiberglass products for other product lines.

Basic Coverage Period

This is to certify that ASI warrants to the first purchaser only that the purchased fiberglass planter manufactured by it is free from defects in materials and workmanship, when maintained properly and under normal use and care.

ASI’s obligation to the first purchaser under this warranty shall be limited to replacement, repair, refund, or customer credit, at its sole option, of any fiberglass planter determined by ASI to be defective in material or workmanship. This warranty will expire three (3) years after the date of purchase by the first purchaser, unless otherwise specified by ASI.

For fiberglass planters manufactured with a Double-Tough Clear Coat added to the product (included as standard on Gemstone and Burnished finishes, or added at an additional charge on other painted finishes), ASI’s limited warranty will expire five (5) years after the date of purchase by the first purchaser, unless otherwise specified by ASI. Double-Tough Clear Coat is highly recommended for exterior applications and high-traffic areas and has a proven track record of withstanding the harshest UV environments. The five (5) year term applies only where the original invoice shows that the Double-Tough Clear Coat was purchased or that the planter was ordered in a Gemstone or Burnished finish.

TermApplies to
3 yearsStandard fiberglass planter
5 yearsFiberglass planter with Double-Tough Clear Coat (standard on Gemstone and Burnished finishes)

These limited warranties are non-transferable, require proof of purchase, and cover the following manufacturing defects:

  • Cracks or Structural Failures: Issues with the structural integrity caused by production defects.
  • Fading or Discoloration: Significant fading or discoloration from UV exposure, provided that the ASI care guidelines have been followed.
  • Paint Defects: Peeling or delaminating paint due to manufacturing defects.

First Purchaser. “First purchaser” means the authorized ASI reseller or other trade customer that buys the planter directly from ASI. This warranty is held by the first purchaser and does not extend to the first purchaser’s customers, end users, or any later owner. Proof of purchase from ASI, such as ASI’s invoice, is required.

Care Guidelines. Where this warranty refers to ASI’s care guidelines, or to handling, planting, and usage instructions, it means ASI’s eco-fiberglass planter care guidelines, or the instructions provided with the product, as in effect on the date of purchase.

Exclusions

The following are not covered under this warranty:

  • General Wear & Tear: Scratches, chips, and surface marring are all considered common wear and tear.
  • Improper Handling or Usage: Damage caused by improper handling, misuse, or abuse of the planters voids the warranty.
  • Ignoring Instructions: Failure to adhere to the recommended handling, planting, or usage instructions voids the warranty.
  • Alterations: Any modifications or alterations to the planter void the warranty, except drainage holes drilled by ASI at no charge at the customer’s request or drilled by the customer in accordance with ASI’s written instructions.
  • Lack of Proper Care: Neglect, such as failing to provide adequate drainage or failing to observe the care guidelines, voids the warranty.
  • Accidents and Unforeseen Events: Damage caused by accidents or external hazards is not covered.
  • Vandalism and Theft: Damage from vandalism and loss from theft are not covered.
  • Acts of Nature: Damage caused by hurricanes, tornadoes, hail, flooding, lightning, earthquakes, wildfires, windborne or falling debris, or other severe weather or natural events is not covered.
  • Improper Storage or Placement: Storing or placing planters in a damp environment (as defined under Paint-Specific Limitations and Exclusions), which can compromise their finish, is not covered.
  • Drainage Requirements: The customer is responsible for ensuring proper drainage, especially in freezing conditions. Failure to do so voids the warranty.
  • Color and Finish Variation: ASI planters are hand-finished. Slight variations in color, texture, sheen, and dimensions between planters, or compared with samples, digital images, or previous orders, are a normal characteristic of the product and are not defects.
  • Plants and Contents: Loss of or damage to plants, soil, irrigation, lighting, or other contents, and costs to remove, replant, or reinstall planters, are not covered.
  • Supporting Structures: Damage caused by settling, movement, or failure of the surface or structure supporting the planter is not covered. The customer is responsible for confirming that rooftops, balconies, decks, and other surfaces can support the planter’s weight when filled and watered.
  • Chemicals and Cleaning: Damage caused by de-icing salts, pool or spa chemicals, harsh fertilizers or pesticides, solvents, abrasive cleaners, or pressure washing is not covered. Automotive polishing compounds used as described in the ASI care guidelines are not considered abrasive cleaners.
  • Freight Damage: Customers must inspect planters within one (1) business day of delivery and follow the Damaged Merchandise procedure in ASI’s Terms & Conditions: mark the freight bill “Received in Damaged Condition” before signing for any visible damage, photograph the damaged product and its packaging as received, and report the damage to ASI within one (1) business day of delivery. For shipments delivered directly to a reseller’s customer or job site, the reseller is responsible for ensuring these steps are followed. Damage that occurs in shipping is handled as a freight claim and is not covered under this warranty.
  • Claim-Related Costs: ASI is not liable for costs related to labor, shipping, delivery, or other expenses incurred during the claim process.

Paint-Specific Limitations and Exclusions

The planters are coated with UV-resistant, automotive-grade paint designed to withstand the harsh conditions typically found in outdoor environments.

Damage to the paint finish caused by storing or placing planters in a damp environment, as defined below, is excluded.

Damp Environment Defined. For purposes of this warranty, a “damp environment” means conditions in which the planter’s surface remains wet, or exposed to trapped moisture or condensation, for a prolonged period. Damp environments include:

  • Enclosed or covered spaces with a sustained relative humidity of 90% or higher for 72 consecutive hours or more, such as greenhouses, indoor pool houses, or unventilated storage areas.
  • Storage under plastic, shrink wrap, tarps, or other non-breathable coverings that trap moisture against the finish.
  • Original shipping packaging left on the planter more than ten (10) business days after delivery, or storage in original packaging in any uncontrolled environment, such as outdoors or in an unconditioned space.
  • Contact with standing or pooled water, including planters left sitting in water or on saturated surfaces.

Normal outdoor exposure to rain, dew, irrigation, snow, and typical ambient humidity is not considered a damp environment and does not by itself affect warranty coverage.

While the paint is durable under normal circumstances, concentrated solar reflections from windows and/or lenses can cause damage that is not covered under this warranty.

Water Resistance and Liners

ASI does not leak test its planters. Unless ASI’s optional waterproof coating has been purchased for an additional charge, planters are not warranted to be watertight, and ASI recommends lining planted containers with an ASI liner or plastic sheeting at least 1 mm thick, as described in ASI’s Terms & Conditions.

Where the waterproof coating has been purchased, as shown on the original invoice, ASI will repair or replace, at its option, a coated planter that leaks because of a defect in the coating during the applicable warranty period. This leak coverage does not apply if drainage holes or other openings are added after coating, or if the coating is damaged by any cause excluded under this warranty. Coated planters may be used without drainage holes; however, damage caused by water freezing inside a planter remains excluded.

For all planters, including coated planters, damage to floors, surfaces, plants, or surroundings resulting from any leak or seepage is not covered.

Claim Process

To initiate a warranty claim, please follow these steps:

  1. Contact our customer service team at info@asi.design within thirty (30) days of discovering the defect or of being notified of it by a customer.
  2. Provide proof of purchase, such as a receipt or invoice.
  3. Submit clear photos of the damaged planter along with a detailed description of the issue.

Only the first purchaser may submit a claim under this warranty. End users and other later owners should report concerns to the authorized reseller from whom they purchased, which may submit a claim to ASI. If that reseller is no longer in business, ASI may, at its sole discretion and without obligation, consider a claim submitted directly to info@asi.design.

After reviewing your claim, we may offer a replacement, repair, refund, or customer credit, at our discretion. Any customer credit issued by ASI shall expire on the later of one year from the date of issuance or the end of the minimum period required by applicable state law. Note that customers are responsible for shipping costs associated with warranty claims.

ASI may require that the planter be made available for inspection, or returned to ASI, before approving any remedy. ASI may, at its discretion, waive the cancellation/re-stocking charge described in its Terms & Conditions for planters returned in connection with a warranty claim.

Any repaired or replacement planter is warranted only for the remainder of the original warranty period.

If the original model, size, or color is no longer available, ASI may provide a comparable product or customer credit, at its discretion.

No change in any provision of this Limited Warranty may be made without the written agreement of an authorized officer of ASI. No officer, employee, or representative of ASI has the authority to assume greater liability than that described above. No reseller has the authority to modify this Limited Warranty or to make any other warranty on behalf of ASI.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

All Products Other Than Fiberglass Planters

Effective Date: 2026-10-01 | Last Updated: 2026-10-01

Architectural Supplements® LLC’s (“ASI”) products are designed with care and built to meet high quality standards. This Limited Warranty applies to ASI products other than fiberglass planters, subject to the following conditions.

Covered Products. This Limited Warranty applies to ASI products not made of fiberglass, including the Phoenix, Rise, Epic, Salvaged Wood, and Light Stone Collections; Pottery Designs and fiber clay planters; BioMontage® Natural Walls; NextGen Living Walls, Planter Trays, and Planter Portraits; and accessories such as sub-irrigation systems, liners, saucers, and wood stands. It does not apply to ASI fiberglass or Eco-Fiberglass planters, which are covered by ASI’s Limited Warranty for Fiberglass Planters.

Basic Coverage Period

ASI warrants to the first purchaser only that ASI products covered by this Limited Warranty conform to the specifications, drawings, samples, or other product descriptions furnished by ASI, subject to the normal variation described under Exclusions; are of good material and workmanship; are free of manufacturing and factory defects; and will function properly under normal use and service for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase by the first purchaser.

Phoenix and Rise Collection planters manufactured with Double-Tough Clear Coat (included as standard on the Gemstone finish, or added at an additional charge on other painted finishes) are warranted for three (3) years from the date of purchase by the first purchaser. The three (3) year term applies only where the original invoice shows that the Double-Tough Clear Coat was purchased or that the planter was ordered in the Gemstone finish.

ASI’s obligation under this warranty is limited to repair or replacement of defective parts, refund, or customer credit, at ASI’s sole option. ASI is not responsible for replacing an entire commercial unit, such as a complete living wall or wall system, where repair or replacement of defective parts can reasonably make the unit conforming.

TermApplies to
1 yearAll covered non-fiberglass products
3 yearsPhoenix and Rise planters with Double-Tough Clear Coat (standard on Gemstone finish)

This limited warranty is non-transferable and requires proof of purchase.

First Purchaser. “First purchaser” means the authorized ASI reseller or other trade customer that buys the product directly from ASI. This warranty is held by the first purchaser and does not extend to the first purchaser’s customers, end users, or any later owner. Proof of purchase from ASI, such as ASI’s invoice, is required.

Care Guidelines. References in this warranty to ASI’s care and maintenance instructions, and to handling, installation, planting, and usage instructions, mean the instructions provided with the product or otherwise given by ASI in writing, as in effect on the date of purchase.

Exclusions

The following are not covered under this warranty:

  • General Wear & Tear: Scratches, chips, and surface marring are all considered common wear and tear.
  • Improper Handling, Installation, or Usage: Damage caused during installation, or by improper handling, misuse, misapplication, tampering, or abuse, is not covered.
  • Ignoring Instructions: Failure to follow ASI’s care and maintenance, handling, installation, planting, or usage instructions voids the warranty.
  • Alterations and Unauthorized Repairs: Products modified, altered, or repaired by anyone other than ASI or personnel authorized by ASI are not covered, except drainage holes drilled by ASI at no charge at the customer’s request or drilled by the customer in accordance with ASI’s written instructions.
  • Lack of Proper Care: Neglect, improper maintenance, or negligence by others voids the warranty.
  • Accidents and Unforeseen Events: Damage caused by accidents, fire, other casualty, or external hazards is not covered.
  • Interior-Only Products: Use of products designated by ASI for interior use only, such as Salvaged Wood planters, in exterior or unconditioned locations voids the warranty.
  • Improper Storage or Placement: Storing or placing products in a damp environment (as defined under Finish and Storage Limitations), which can compromise their finish, is not covered.
  • Drainage Requirements: The customer is responsible for ensuring proper drainage, especially in freezing conditions. Failure to do so voids the warranty.
  • Color, Finish, and Natural Material Variation: Products made with natural, reclaimed, or recycled materials, including wood, stone, clay, and preserved moss, vary naturally in color, grain, texture, sheen, and dimensions. Slight variation between products, or compared with samples, digital images, or previous orders, is a normal characteristic of the product and is not a defect. Natural changes over time, such as checking, movement, or color change in wood or gradual color change in preserved moss exposed to sunlight, are also not defects.
  • Plants and Contents: Loss of or damage to plants (including live plants in living walls and BioMontage® LIVE! products), soil, growing media, irrigation, lighting, or other contents, and costs to remove, replant, or reinstall products, are not covered.
  • Supporting Structures: Damage caused by settling, movement, or failure of the floor, wall, or other structure supporting or holding the product is not covered. The customer is responsible for confirming that the supporting structure, anchors, and fasteners can carry the product’s weight, including when filled, saturated, or planted.
  • Components Not Manufactured by ASI: Defects in components not manufactured by ASI, such as pumps, timers, controllers, or other third-party parts, are not covered by this warranty.
  • Freight Damage: Customers must inspect products within one (1) business day of delivery and follow the Damaged Merchandise procedure in ASI’s Terms & Conditions: mark the freight bill “Received in Damaged Condition” before signing for any visible damage, photograph the damaged product and its packaging as received, and report the damage to ASI within one (1) business day of delivery.

Finish and Storage Limitations

Damage to product finishes caused by storing or placing products in a damp environment, as defined below, is excluded.

Damp Environment Defined. For purposes of this warranty, a “damp environment” means conditions in which the product’s surface remains wet, or exposed to trapped moisture or condensation, for a prolonged period.

  • Original shipping packaging left on the product more than ten (10) business days after delivery, or storage in original packaging in any uncontrolled environment, such as outdoors or in an unconditioned space.
  • Contact with standing or pooled water, including products left sitting in water or on saturated surfaces.

Normal outdoor exposure to rain, dew, irrigation, snow, and typical ambient humidity is not considered a damp environment and does not by itself affect warranty coverage.

This section does not apply to the intended operation of living wall, sub-irrigation, and other products designed to hold or deliver water, when installed and maintained according to ASI’s instructions.

While finishes are durable under normal circumstances, concentrated solar reflections from windows and/or lenses can cause damage that is not covered under this warranty.

Water Resistance and Liners

ASI does not leak test its products. The following products are designed to be watertight: Phoenix and Rise Collection planters; living wall products, including NextGen Living Walls, Planter Trays, and Planter Portraits; and fiber clay planters to which ASI’s optional waterproof coating has been applied for an additional charge, as shown on the original invoice.

If a watertight product leaks because of a defect in material, workmanship, or the waterproof coating during the applicable warranty period, ASI will repair or replace it, at its option. This leak coverage does not apply if drainage holes or other openings are added after manufacture or coating, or if the product is damaged by any cause excluded under this warranty. Watertight products may be used without drainage holes; however, damage caused by water freezing inside a product remains excluded.

All other planters and containers covered by this warranty, including uncoated fiber clay planters, are not warranted to be watertight, and ASI recommends lining planted containers with an ASI liner or plastic sheeting at least 1 mm thick, as described in ASI’s Terms & Conditions.

For all products, damage to floors, walls, surfaces, plants, or surroundings resulting from any leak, seepage, or overflow is not covered, including leaks from living wall, reservoir, or sub-irrigation systems.

Claim Process

To initiate a warranty claim, please follow these steps:

  1. Contact ASI at info@asi.design within thirty (30) days of discovering the defect or of being notified of it by a customer.
  2. Provide proof of purchase, such as a receipt or invoice.
  3. Submit clear photos of the damaged product along with a detailed description of the issue.

After reviewing your claim, we may offer a repair or replacement of defective parts, refund, or customer credit, at our discretion. Any customer credit issued by ASI shall expire on the later of one year from the date of issuance or the end of the minimum period required by applicable state law. Note that customers are responsible for shipping costs associated with warranty claims.

ASI may require that the product be made available for inspection, or returned to ASI, before approving any remedy. ASI may, at its discretion, waive the cancellation/re-stocking charge described in its Terms & Conditions for products returned in connection with a warranty claim.

Any repaired or replacement product or part is warranted only for the remainder of the original warranty period.

If the original model, size, color, or part is no longer available, ASI may provide a comparable product or customer credit, at its discretion.
