ASI's sub-irrigation system delivers air and water directly to a plant's roots. It was designed in conjunction with Dr. Joseph Cialone, Ph.D., Horticultural Sciences.
The system stands 2 inches taller than a standard grow pot, so a root ball transfers in without disturbance and with no plant trauma. It fits the same decorative containers as a standard grow pot in the corresponding size, so switching a planter over doesn't mean switching containers.
A water level indicator on the outside shows at a glance whether the reservoir needs water, taking the guesswork out of a watering schedule. Below the pot, air holes and a layer of LECA (Light Expanded Clay Aggregate) keep air and water moving to the root zone.
