Frequently Asked Questions

ASI sells to the trade only. We work directly with interiorscapers, architects, interior designers, and landscape professionals. We don't sell to the general public.

Fill out the Business Registration application on our site. Our team reviews every application within 1 to 2 business days. Once approved, you get wholesale pricing and access to trade-only resources like price books and design tools.

There's no minimum, but orders under $150 carry a $25 processing fee in addition to standard freight.

Made-to-order items and unusually large orders may require a 50% non-refundable deposit.

Orders are processed as soon as we receive them. After one business day, cancellations need ASI's approval and carry a 50% cancellation and restocking charge. Quick Ship, Rush, and made-to-order orders can't be canceled. Changes also need our approval and will extend the delivery date.

Returns must be approved by ASI before anything ships back, and approved returns carry a 50% restocking charge. Call Customer Service to start the process. See our Returns policy.

Orders ship F.O.B. origin, freight prepaid. Freight is a percentage of the net order amount:

• Fiberclay and Fiberstone: 40%
• River Rock, LECA and Vulkaponic: 30%
• All other items: 20%

That rate already includes an 8% handling fee. Full details are in our Shipping policy.

We have two distribution centers: ASI East in Waterbury, CT and ASI West in Bakersfield, CA. Standard freight rates assume your order ships from the one closest to you. If it has to ship from the other coast, for example to avoid waiting on a restock, we'll send you a freight quote first. See Cross-Country Orders.

In-stock Quick Ship items ordered by 11:00 AM Eastern can ship the same day. Orders after 11:00 AM ship the next business day.

Quick Ship items include NextGen Living Walls, BioMontage and loose moss, Fiberclay, Phoenix and Light Stone in select colors, Eco-Fiberglass in Matte Black, liners, LECA, sub-irrigation, and stands.

Painted and custom items typically ship in 5 to 7 business days. Call Customer Service for current lead times.

Freight deliveries are curbside unless you request otherwise when you order. Add-on services include:

• Liftgate (for sites without a dock or forklift): $80
• Residential or limited access: $120
• Delivery appointment: $30
• Inside delivery (first floor only, not white glove)

Please book these when you place the order. If you ask the driver to bring items inside on delivery day, the carrier bills it at a higher rate.

Oversized items ship by common carrier with a $180 minimum freight charge per item. The minimum is waived on orders with three or more oversized items.

Yes. Orders going outside the lower 48 states, including Canada, Alaska, and Hawaii, need a custom freight quote.

Inspect everything for any aparent external damage before the driver leaves. Write "Received in Damaged Condition" on the freight bill before signing, photograph the product and packaging, and report it to us within one (1) business day, so we can file a freight claim.

• Fiberglass planters: 3 years against defects in material and workmanship
• Fiberglass planters with Double Tough Clear Coat: 5 years
• All other ASI products: 1 year

Warranties apply to the first purchaser only and require proof of purchase. Read the full Warranty & Claims terms.

Normal wear and tear (scratches, chips, surface marks), damage from misuse or accidents, modifications, poor drainage, and planters stored in standing water or damp conditions. Shipping and labor costs for claims are not covered.

Email info@asi.design with your invoice or proof of purchase, clear photos of the issue, and a short description. We'll review it and offer a repair, replacement, or credit.

Yes. We recommend liners in all fiberglass, Fiberstone, and Fiberclay planters. ASI isn't responsible for leaking planters without one.

Yes. Eco-Fiberglass is lightweight and weather-resistant, finished with UV-resistant automotive-grade paint. For exterior or high-traffic spaces, we recommend adding Double Tough Clear Coat, which also extends the warranty to 5 years. In freezing climates, make sure the planter drains properly.

Yes. Our Connecticut plant handles small runs of 1 to 20 pieces with a 4 to 6 week lead time. For large projects and complex shapes, we build custom molds at our own offshore facility, best for projects with a runway of five months or more. Learn more about Custom Fiberglass.

Yes, through our T.R.U.E. Color Match program. Send a swatch, RAL code, or Pantone reference. We mix a sample for your approval, then paint your order in the U.S.A. and ship within 5 business days of sign-off. Cost is $300 per color, and we keep your formula on file so reorders match.

Yes. We build preserved moss walls to any shape or size, including logos and lettering. The moss is 100% natural, fire retardant, and needs no water, soil, or sunlight. See Custom Moss Walls.

Yes. If you're building your own planter line, we can manufacture it under your brand to ASI's standards. See White Label Manufacturing.

Yes. Request swatches of our standard colors or samples of our Fiberclay finish so you can check color and texture in your own space and lighting before ordering.
